Use of CytoSorb in Fourniers gangrene and septic shock

This report describes the case of a 54-year-old patient (known pre-existing conditions: morbid obesity with a BMI of 48.4, insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, hypertension, state post-myocarditis in 2006 with currently still impaired left ventricular ejection fraction of 40%, florid ulcerative colitis treated with prednisolone 150 mg/day), who was admitted to the hospital with fever.
