Use of CytoSorb in septic shock with ARDS and multiple organ failure

This case study reports on an 80-year-old patient (pre-existing medical history: diabetes mellitus type 2, chronic renal insufficiency AKIN III, atrial fibrillation, pAVK pelvic type, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and hyperuricemia), who was admitted to the hospital via emergency transport with a persistent cough of several weeks duration, acute onset of fever (38.7°C), and cardiopulmonary decompensation accompanied by respiratory insufficiency.
