Use of CytoSorb in severe septic shock after catheter sepsis

This case study reports on a 87-year-old female patient (pre-existing conditions: end-stage renal disease requiring chronic dialysis, pulmonary hypertension, type II diabetes mellitus, NYHA III-IV heart failure, paroxysmal atrial fibrillation) who was found with a significant decrease in saturation (80% O2 on room air) and 38°C fever, after she had been discharged to the normal ward in a good general conditition following postoperative intensive care treatment (surgical vein bypass after steal syndrome and basilic fistula).
