Monocenter studies
Numerous renowned German and international clinics are currently conducting monocentric scientific studies on the efficacy and clinical effects of CytoSorb use in a wide range of hyperinflammatory conditions.
Research includes, for e.g. the use of CytoSorb in COVID-19 patients,, intraoperative use in high risk cardiac surgery patients on cardiopulmonary bypass, septic shock or severe acute pancreatitis. Several studies in other applications such as burns or liver failure are in the pipeline. There are many investigator-initiated trials in progress, some of which are already actively recruiting and others which are already completed (see CytoSorb Literature Database for more details). The remaining studies are at different stages of preparation and implementation.
Some of these projects are currently nearing completion or have already been completed, therefore we expect to continue to see a significant increase in published evidence on the effectiveness and clinical outcomes of CytoSorb therapy.
